How to install A lace frontal wig for beginners
If you’re new to installing a lace frontal, chances are you’re going to be installing a Lace Frontal wig. This is the easiest option if you’re new to wearing and installing Lace.
So, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide on how to install or re-install your Lace Frontal wig and how to ensure a seamless natural install.
Step 1: Firstly, cornrow your hair straight back into small sections. You want to ensure your Lace Frontal wig is laying as flat as possible.
Step 2: Get yourself a wig cap and place it on your head, pull it back a little till it just covers your hairline.
To ensure you can achieve a seamless blend, you can choose to go in with some makeup over your wig cap, to colour match it to your skin tone.
Step 3: Fix the wig onto your head and make the necessary adjustments. You want it to be secure but not too tight or to lose, comfortability is key.
Step 4: Trim the edge of your lace ( if this hasn’t been done already for you by a stylist) the aim is to replicate your own natural hairline here.
Top tip: Do NOT cut in a straight line, this will limit being able to achieve a seamless melt/blend
Step 5: Evenly spray your got2b glue (or glue of choice) across your hairline where you want your Lace frontal to sit.
Step 6: Go in with your hairdryer over the hairline and the Lace frontal to lay the lace down and dry the glue. Ensure you are pressing down the frontal into the glue moving from one side to the other ( you can use the end of a comb for this)
Step 7: Nearly at the finish line ladies! You want to make sure your Lace Frontal is firmly laid and looks and seamless as possible. Next tie down the front of your Lace Frontal with a scarf for 15-30 minuets
Step 7: style your hair however you like! Add your finishing touches e.g., going in with your Wax stick to tame those unwanted fly-a-ways, or going in with some serum for added silkiness and shine.
Now, if you were completely lost on how to install your Lace Frontal, we hope that this step-by-step guide has given you the confidence you need to GO FOR IT!
